August 31, 2023 – Daggett Lane will be closed beginning Tuesday, September 5, 2023 to replace the existing bridge structure over Gypsum Creek. The closure is anticipated to remain in effect until Friday, November 3, 2023. Traffic will be directed to use Cottonwood Pass Road to bypass the project location. The designated detour route will be marked with road signage.
“The Daggett Lane Bridge was damaged during paving operations in the summer of 2022. Due to the structure’s age and condition, it has been determined that replacement of the structure is necessary to protect the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents of Eagle County.”, said Rickie Davies, Senior Staff Engineer for Eagle County.
The Daggett Lane Bridge is located at 984 Daggett Lane. Individuals can view the detour route accompanying this release.
The replacement of this bridge is at the direction of the Eagle County Engineering Department along with work performed by the contractor, Ewing Trucking and Construction, LLC.
